To keep our business running smoothly, we must purchase a variety of products and services which are grouped below into four categories: Services, Supplies, Equipment and Facilities.
Supplier Diversity and Commodity Managers ensure that diverse suppliers have an opportunity to compete on an equal basis with all of UPS's suppliers. UPS maintains a global and centralized procurement process managed from the Corporate Office in Atlanta, Georgia.
Some examples include:
Services
Advertising, art and audio-visual, artwork/illustration, design, packaging design, building maintenance, heating and air conditioning, building/janitorial services consulting, information services, food/vending services, graphic design, fulfillment and training.
Facilities
Architects, building design, construction or renovation, facilities management and leasing and purchasing.
Supplies
Art/graphics supplies, boxes, fuel, promotional items and uniforms.
Equipment
Computer equipment, furniture, airplanes, automotive parts, forklifts, trailers/tractors, ground support air vehicles, UPS package cars (trucks), conveyor and belt systems and tires.
