The following groups are considered disadvantaged by the Small Business Administration pursuant to Section 8(d):
African Americans
U.S. citizens having origins in any of the Black African racial groups.
Asian Americans
U.S. citizens whose origins are in Asia or the Indian subcontinent including but not limited to:
- Asian Pacific Americans
U.S. citizens whose origins are from Japan, China (including Hong Kong), the
Philippines, Vietnam, Korea, Samoa, Guam, U.S. Trust Territories of the Pacific
Islands (Republic of Palau), the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana
Islands, Laos, Cambodia (Kampuchea), Taiwan, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Republic
of the Marshall Islands, Macao, Fiji, Tonga, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Nauru or the Federated States of Micronesia.
- Asian/Subcontinent Americans
U.S. citizens whose origins are in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan or Nepal.
Hispanic Americans
U.S. citizens of Spanish culture whose origins are in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, South or Central
America or the Caribbean Islands.
Native Americans
U.S. citizens having origins as American Indians, Eskimos, Aleuts Native Hawaiians.
