Relief arrived at the beginning of her junior year. Kelly was working at UPS's Earth City hub when UPS announced a new
education assistance program called Earn & Learn. The program offers part-time employees $3,000 in tuition
assistance and $2,000 in forgivable loans per calendar year with a lifetime max of $23,000 in education aid.

UPS is not only paying her bills now, but Kelly believes her job also will pay off
in the future. "People know that if you work at UPS, you're a dedicated, hard worker. When people
hear what I have been doing, between school and my job for a major corporation, they're impressed."
Mike Druga, an engineering major and UPS employee in Orlando, Florida, can't believe that a part-time job
has offered so much:
"Many college students who work are employed at dead end jobs in bars or pizza parlors and make no more than
minimum wage with no benefits. I consider myself to be the lucky one. Competitive salary, benefits a mile
long and role models I can relate to - what more can a part-time job have to offer? Working at UPS
has been more than a part-time time job; it's been a life lesson."
